Autonomous aerial flight path inspection using advanced manufacturing techniques

SUMMARY Robotic systems have shown capabilities to perform inspection tasks in dangerous and difficult-to-access environments, such as those found different components of power plants. However, most the current robotic technology is designed for specific components. Aerial robots, commonly termed Drones, raised an option inspect a wider range structural Nevertheless, aerial inspecting still relies on human pilot with limited line sight, field view reduced perception drone flies away, which prevents performing close-quarter intricate, structurally complex GPS-denied environments. This work introduces offline path generation methods based robotics-integrated manufacturing techniques. One method uses computer-aided (CAM) techniques other additive (AM) approach generate flight path. That say, would fly along described by 3D (Three Dimensional) printer’s extruder or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining tool, enabling very close structure even physical structures geometry. Once trajectories are generated, they introduced its validation Gazebo robotics simulator. Simulation results demonstrate proper performance confirm that this can be used structuralcomponents.
